Actually, for US cars, the washer fluid tank is technically on the driver's side. Same thing happened to me...the hose had popped off the tank nipple, so when you operated the washers, fluid fell out the below the driver's side front wheel. The fix was to partially remove the wheel liner to gain access to the washer tank and then reconnect the hose to the tank by way of a small metal hose clamp so that it never comes undone again. Took only a few minutes to fix it.
