exhaust smoke 99 boxster

Hi, I recently bought a 99 boxster with 80k miles as a project car, the check engine light was on and constant white/grey smoke coming out of the exhaust. Thanks to this forum I found information about the possible causes and repairs of the issue, I replaced the air oil separator (aos) with a brand new oem part, after installing the aos the car continued to smoke for about 15 mins at idle and then it continued to smoke intermittently and it hasn't changed, mostly it smokes while waiting at a light or suddenly while driving, it comes and goes. I've driven the car for about 80 miles after replacing the aos for what I know the car has been sitting for about a year, it idles fine, it runs fine, is not consuming water, the check engine light tuned off by itself. If anybody has any advise it will be much appreciated, thanks.
