how did you take off the silver lining to paint it?

how much did it cost you to powdercoat? can't you do that yourself?

do you remember where you got the high temp paint from?

I like it.. a lot. I've been trying to find a solution like that for mine. Unfortunately, mine is an 01 and has the single oval shaped tip which I think is welded on. (At least I can't find any screws or bolts and there's a weld seam between it and the muffler) So, unless I want to cut and reweld, it looks like my only option is to paint, and I'm not sure that would look nearly as good as yours do. Take more pics after you do the silver surround.

Thanks

Bob

The Silver lining is painted. I simply masked off the entire rear and painted on the spot with a can of paint. It was fairly easy.

Cost for the Professional Powder Coating was $25
Hi Temp paint for muffler, from local Auto Parts store, was $9
Plastic Paint for the Silver lining was $5 at hardware store.

Bob O, one option for you is to use the G2 Brake Caliper paint in black and brush it on. It dries to a gloss and should be able to withstand the high temps of the exchaust.
