I have a 2000 Boxster S with 38000 miles which I am selling for 12000 dollars. It will only be available for sale for 2 weeks starting today. I purchased this vehicle almost 2 years ago and at that time Autocheck showed I was the second/third (second was dealer) owner with no reported accidents. I have driven the vehicle less than 2000 miles since the purchase. I don't know the vehicle maintenance prior to that time. I have the owners manual with the previous owners phone number and address. I didn't contact the previous owner.
Since I purchased the vehicle I replaced all 4 tires with Michelin Pilot Super Sport. I did 3 oil changes with no evidence of metal in the oil. I also replaced 3 axle boots (have the uninstalled 4th) and an oxygen sensor. The wire to the knock sensor was also repaired. The OBC is activated but there is no switch connected.
I am extending the sale for another 2 weeks starting today. I can give a justification for this but I will just say I haven't purchased my other vehicle yet. I will accept a reasonable best offer. There is a bonus to this offer but I won't mention it here being I am looking for a buyer of the vehicle and not a person interested in a deal. Don't get me wrong, I am always looking for a deal. The bonus will have no use to a person that doesn't work on their own cars unless they sell the bonus.
I changed the oil and filter today although it wasn't due. I was going to just give the oil and filter to the buyer of the vehicle if I didn't replace it. There was no metal in the oil or filter. I didn't cut the filter open but I saved it for the person interested in this vehicle.
I would've driven to California for this one, all that wood burl; a well appointed car!! Someone else would have to comment on what the camshaft readings mean .... Can't believe it's still available!
