2001 Boxster S - PA
Every year now I have been on the fence on selling my Boxster, I always say, as soon as it comes out from winter storage it is up for sale. Then I drive it in the spring and end of keeping it, Time to take a new approach, selling it before storing it. I really want a Lotus, and that is the reason why it has to go.
I am gonna be as honest as I can, this car is a world traveler with really no records. From what I can tell, it was bought by a military doctor in Hawaii and he was restationed to Texas. In Texas, it was sold to another military doctor who then got restationed to the car's motherland and was sold to a military contractor. That contractor worked with me, where I bought it in 2012 after he had it for 11 months. He told me he did no maintenance for the time he owned it, not even washed it. I bought it in April '12 and have owned even since. Immediately. I took it to Porsche in Germany for an inspection, which it passed with no issues. 3 weeks later, the water pump went out. Replaced and flushed, back on the road, the back plastic window split in half. My wife sewed in a new window and we waterproofed it. In June 2014, it went back to Porsche, since I was retiring and leaving Germany, the only issue was the front trunk struts were weak and replaced.
Now, I just did all the upkeep as if I wanted to keep it. In April, the coolant expansion tanks was replaced due to it cracking. In Oct, spark plugs, motor mount, serp belt and oil was replaced. Today I just got done doing the tranny fluid and fuel filter. This car seems pretty much good to go in my eyes. If I was keeping it, the only thing I would replace would be the roof. Though it doesn't leak, it is 15 yrs old and I would want a glass window.
Looking for $13,000 - Located in outside of Johnstown, Pa. Got lots of pics, and willing to answering any questions.
Yes it was on a track. One time at Nürburgring in 2013; hey, it had to do it...

Yes, I have had some very memorable experiences on the 'ring. Once with the Porsche:
When I had my evos:
And, unfortunately, when I wrecked my wife's BMW right in front of a photographer
But my favorite was a ride along in this vomit-producing machine:

Tell that to my wife, sitting passenger, and my daughter, who was 7 at the time and sitting in the back seat... Here you can see them sitting right before the ass end kicks out:

Also an awesome pic! Just to clarify, the picture and willingness to share I find great.
The accident and fear on your loved ones faces? Not so much.
At the risk of detailing your thread completely: hopefully everyone walked away uninjured?

Thanks, we just got it built over the summer. It was suppose to a simple garage but we went overboard. We finished and painted it BMW M colors. Installed a home theater, projector and dual tap keg. We even built a wall on the outside to hold a hockey net. It really came out well.
