I also had a link for a nice 05 roller on my blog. Not sure if its still for sale but might be worth checking out Blown Boxster for sale

I don't think the '04 engine will go into an '05 without a bunch of extra work.

I'm pretty sure 04 and 05 should be a direct replacement. Both 3 chain, 7.8DME with dual vario-cam actuators.

not sure what work you are thinking of -- now a 2000-2002 aren't exact replacements, as they
are 5 chain, 7.2DME, single VarioCam actuators.

The 2005's are 987's, so I assume the engine bay may a little different or the ECU, that sort of thing.
