Steal of a deal in North Carolina

2000 Porsche Boxster

Not my car, but was browsing craigslist, higher mileage but seems to be nicely optioned and well maintined, a solid manual 2000 car! Grab it before someone else does.

Glass top, updated headlights and tail lights, new tires, painted seat backings and center console, 5 speed, 18 inch rims, calipers painted red. Someone put some money into this car to make it look more up to date and like an S. High miles but paint is clean, interior is better than most 80k cars. Not an S, but has all the right cues to fool the average by stander.

It has the sport/design package

which comes with the painted pieces, diamond texture dash and door panel vinyl, 3 spoke wheel, and the sport seats. My car has the same thing and I love it (especially the sport seats). I do not see any "s" parts in particular and the wheels are actually the stock 16's unless I missed a photo showing otherwise but a decent looking car.

A 14yo base Box with "Fair" paint and 170,000 miles for $7000 is a "Steal"?

With only two boxsters in the area for under 8k and the other one having the worst interior I have ever seen, I'd say it's nice, even if it's to grab it and sell some of the nicer options, I do agree that I was wrong about the wheels, but the glass rear window and updated head and tail lights give the car a young look.
