So nice...please don't do this to me I already have a full garage with two Boxsters. I might have to build another garage . Your price is very good for an 'S' you should sell it fast.

I will be taking my ad down tomorrow. I was in negotiation with a private seller on an 08 Signal Green Cayman S Sport, but he became a tool and didn't want to sell his car. Left the ad up incase he changed his mind but looks like he's going to keep his car. Thanks for looking.

So basically you were trading in one Cayman for a newer one? Your price was still a give away, they would be asking over 40k at the dealers here.

Yes, I was only going up 1 yr but the CS Sport had the options I now wish I had plus it had 25K fewer miles. My CS has been rock solid reliable, is a beautiful color, and still has CPO. It's not the end of the world that the deal fell through. The private party I was dealing with wanted me to hand over the full amount we negotiated a day before I picked it up. This after seeing the car in person 3 wks before. I don't know if it's a wadded up ball now. Then I'd have to hope he would pay off Porsche Financial Services to get the title AND then have him sign and deliver said title once he got it. Way too risky to me. I wanted to show up at his bank, bank wire transfer the payoff to PFS and wire the rest to his acct. Then I only had to hope he got me the title. He didn't want to - said you could somehow reverse the transfer after I had the car. He wasn't into selling the car but I wish he wouldn't have wasted my time. At least I'm not being interviewed by American Greed and they're asking me why I gave a fraudster $44.5K with nothing in return. I didn't fall off the turnip truck yesterday.

I have a link that allows me to look at Craigslists across the country for various make and model cars. I've noticed Charlotte and Raleigh consistently have high prices. To the point where I never check them because I'm sure there won't be any good deals. Why are cars so expensive in NC?

Wow...yes you make the right decision, that whole story made my head spin. Smart man.

So Charlotte and high prices. Well I'm not sure, there aren't a lot and that might be part of it. The other thing might be that both Hendrick and Paramount (in Hickory) ask top dollar for used ones and maybe folks base their prices off of that...really don't know. I think I over paid for my 2000 'S' back in Nov 2010 but I got a bullet proof car so in the end it was worth it. I have noticed just recently with the new 991s and 981s on the market that Hendrick dropped their used prices a bunch.

Oh I meant to tell you that **************************************************** is selling 987 floor mats for $39 and two sets for $49. I got two sets of Sand Beige. I posted the second set for sale but really don't care if I sell them...for the $10 extra I paid for them I'm sure I'll find a use. But if you need new ones check out SunCoast.

Cheers.

I'm putting Carmen back on the market as the owner of the signal green Cayman S Sport has contacted me about buying his car. We've worked out the details and it appears the sale is going through this time (under my conditions). I'm excited to get the CSS but will miss Carmen. She's been a great car to own and will make someone very happy.

Let me know if you have any questions.
