convertible top problem

i have a 98 boxster. the plastic cover where the top latches to was loose.when i took the cover off i discovered that the threaded nuts inside the frame had broken into pieces.now there is no way to secure the cover so it just hangs from the wires when the top is down.has this happened to anyone? if so how did you go about fixing it.

Visca-
Your concern was answered here in your other post

For future reference, it's better to not cross-post the same question. Aside from you having to look in multiple places for the answer, when future users will meet the same frustration when searching. Good luck w/ your fix
