Wanted: Inexpensive Boxster preferably with a Bad Engine
Looking for an inexpensive boxster for a 3.6L engine transplant. Any year considered, other than the motor, the car must be in great condition.
Thanks
Todd

Yes I did, but with the mileage and the poor bumper paint, it would need a bunch of $$ put into it to bring it to proper condition that would quickly make it a $15k car. I also tend to shy away from cars that have had aftermarket stereo components installed.
Couple that to the fact that the high mileage 2.5L would be essentially worthless after it is removed doesn't make it a good candidate for my needs.
Currently my ideal car would be a 2000 Boxster S but again I am willing to consider all options. I have an extra motor that needs a home.

I dont think you'll ever find what your looking for cause even thou you want something dirt cheap cause you dont need the motor... the seller can care less what you will be doing with it, its not like they are going to say "Oh you dont need the engine ok ill sell it for 4k less than i listed." Its like your asking to get a boxster at trade-in value.
Why not buy a boxster that's got a blown engine??? Is it that important that the car be in running condition since you wont need the engine or are you trying to make a nice chunk of change by selling the old engine?

Would you be wiling to sell the motor? What do you have exactly? New or Used 3.6?

Everything is for sale, for the right price. My extra motor is the 3.6 I am pulling out of my own car to replace with a new 3.6 X51. The engine has less that 20k miles on it and was a reman Porsche engine built in 2005.

Hay bud
The reason I posted in your thread was if you buy one with a bad motor, you will know that I am an interested party to purchase. Geez man just wanted to let you know that I could be a buyer if you still have the extre motor.
