Selling the Boxster S $35k OBO

Can't edit the title - I'm getting ready to pull the motor so last chance to buy as is. I'll take $25k. The Motons and Motec system are worth more than half that. If I don't sell as is - I'll fix it and most likely keep it.

I purchased this car six years ago this month and have really enjoyed it. However, in November of last year during a track day, the engine stalled momentarily on track and I limped it in to the pits. It was smoking considerably at the time. Upon bringing it home, I determined that the AOS had failed as there was lots of oil in the intake and runners. I took it all apart, cleaned it all up and installed a new AOS. After doing this - I ran a compression test which showed 235+ on all cylinders except cylinder 4, which was 100. So I put a new set of plugs in it and it fired right up. Last week I brought it in to Griffin Motorwerke to redo the compression test warm and do a leak down test. The results were similar with 190+ on all cylinders except cylinder 4, which was 90. Leak down confirmed it was the piston rings not the valves. Car has not been run other than loading and unloading it for the tests and to bring it home. It starts right up with minimal smoke.

Sick ride! Would likely have saved a bunch of dough buying yours instead of building mine. Hope you find a buyer for it intact! GLWS

Well the motor is about 95% ready to come out. No interest whatsoever in the car as is.

I'll get it fixed - not sure if I'll rebuild the motor or throw a used one in it - I've found a couple.

At that point I might try selling it again or just drive it.

We shall see.
