I've done it. The front trunk fits a tire -- just barely, but it's as designed for when you get a flat on the road. (Hmmm, not 100% sure if I tried that with carpeting and stereo amplifier installed....) Then put 2 tires standing up on the passenger floor, and the last one sideways on top of them.

If you are only driving slowly for a very short distance, you can also put a tire in the rear trunk with the lid ajar. Probably need to strap the lid down so it doesn't bounce.
