Cool Sticky Throttle

Greetings, Perhaps someone can help me. I have a 2002 Boxster S Tip. It has a sticky grindy throttle. I removed the tension on the E gas cable and the pedal travels freely. Obviously I suspect the pedal assy. Has anyone else had this issue? I have searched threads with no real luck. Any suggestions?

Yes, 02 S of mine has a places within its travel where it seems to bind slightly when pressing down. It returns fine, which makes me think the point maybe worn or just dry requiring little lube (little white grease). Thats where I am going to start looking.
