battery for the remote
what is the size of the battery for the keyless entry?
i dont have a key on me today and i'd like to buy one and put it in when i get home.
it was weird last night, it didnt open anything, and then i manually opened the door, i was trying to get my backpack from the rear trunk, and both the trunks were locked, and i couldnt pull on the either handle, i have the manual handles, that was weird, and finally after half an hour of clicking stuff on remote, turning the car on , moving it, they opened up.
would the center console/armtest being locked also lock the handles for the trunks?!
anyone have any idea y this is happening?

Hi,
Yes, the manual interior handles for the hood/trunk do have a lock which lock automatically when you set the alarm and lock the car. This is to prevent anyont from reaching in and opening them. All you need to do is hit the unlock button on the dash and they open. Hope this helps...

Hi,
Make sure that the rubber buttons are centered in the ABS case and don't hang-up when pushed. Also, don't put it in your pocket w/ a lot of other stuff which could accidentally push the button. Finally, the remote may be going out and have a short in it, that's a possibility. These seem to fail quite a bit...

Yep, what he said. I went through 2 batteries in 2 months. Same problem. Happened to my spare remote too. I had to have one of them re-programed fo my car. Cost $220! They go bad after a while. Mine was six years old. Another flaw from Porsche. The new case they gave me is more durable and does get stuck in the "ON" position when laying in your pocket. I remember they asked me if I wanted both remotes done, I said "for 220 bucks each, are you kidding me? I'll take just one thank you." Good luck!

Once in a while will soon become once a week. Good luck with that one.
