Just picked up my first Boxster

Greetings forum,

I just bought a 2002 Boxster (Seal Gray/Black).

Thanks to all the posters in the forum - lots of great information. In particular, thanks to Chills and Bmusatti for some feedback and an offer to help me with some recon. in Chicago.

The car is in great condition, 22,500 miles. The exterior has a ding or two and the interior looks new.

I found the car at BMW dealer in Chicago (I live in Alabama). A local Porsche dealership did the PPI and other than a bad battery, everything is clean.

My first real drive in the car was the 700 mile return trip!

I'm sure you'll be seeing tons of questions from me in the coming months

I forgot to list the price and the options:

I paid $23,700 and added a 4 year warranty for another $2500 (first Porsche - need the comfort of a warranty).

Seal Gray
Black partial leather
Sports package
17" Boxster wheels
Heated seats

Pretty standard but just what I was looking for.

Looks like your car has some dandruff... maybe head and shoulders has a car wash formula out, lol. Nice find, I wonder how long it will be before the mod bug hits you.

Looks great and at that price, well worth the drive. The day I signed on my 2002, I got right in it at the dealer and drove from PA to Maine. Having the first trip be a long one like that is really fun. Good luck with the ride!

To each his own but I actually prefer the amber and the black bumperettes.

I looked at a Red 04 S in Atlanta last week - it was absolutely stunning.

Congrats
