Huh? 8 years and 13,900 miles is:

1,737 a year
144 a month
33 a week
around 5 a day...

or is my calculator battery dead too?

with 4900 on my 03 im averaging 1633/yr. but i store it for 6 months so im averaging 272/month. i also wax it weekly during the driving months, so thats
approx 26 waxings. that equates to 1 waxing every 62 miles.

The way that people on this board care for their cars (impeccable adherence to the maintenance schedule, etc.), I see no reason why any of these engines, if driven with a bit of restraint, shouldn't see 200k.

I'll let you know in 10 years or so if that's the case.

1997 that just hit 94,000.. i only owned it for 8 mths bought it with 89,899 put roughly 5k miles on it in 8 mths. Keep in my mind though i live in nj and own 4 cars so hard to pick what to drive.. I own a 2007 mercedes rl, 2003 vw jetta, 1997 boxster,2006 h2 hummer.. The porsche is more babied in the winter expect for the last 2 days it has been 50 good enough for the top down. I am the third owner of the boxster and orginal owner on the other 3.
