How many miles is your 986?
I was watching the International Auto show on Speed TV and behold was a 96 SAAB Turbo on display with 1,000,000 miles! Original engine etc, etc.
The previous owner called SAAB and they were delighted trade in his old 96 for 07 for free! free!
My 986 Boxster S at 45,000 miles.

I think it was in Autoweek, I read if you are the ORIGINAL owner of a SAAB with over 1 million miles they will give you a new car for free!

It's funny -- I've had two SAAB 900 Turbo myself; the first one I sold to a "clean-air" program for $500 -- it had 255,000 miles on it (but was still going strong). The second one had 165,000 when I sold it on eBay for the same amount.
I managed to put 86,000 miles on my Ducati race-bike until I totaled it.
The MX5 I recenly sold at 153,000 miles.
My Boxster is currently at 106,000 miles.

Some cars go forever, I put 200K on my 88 944 Turbo and sold it for 6K, the car looked brand new, I think I sold it too cheap, hell I should never have sold it... I miss it! (must get another one!)
I also had an 86 Audi 4000q with 200K I sold on ebay for 500 bucks and I had an 88 Audi 90q I put 275K miles on it, one day it just died. No compression.
86k on a bike, thats imperessive
