New to the Forum

Hey all. I've been lurking around for about a month now but didn't want to post until I had a picture to go with it.

I bought my 2000 Boxster S in mid December of last year at a local Mercedes dealer here in Tampa. It's triple black with 37,000 miles. Sport seats, 18" wheels, DSP, and a few other small options. Pretty much love the car the way it is so I doubt I'll be doing any changes to it.

Pic I took earlier today at a local PCA AutoX

Boxster will be replacing my 82 911SC. Great car but the Box (IMO) is better in every way.

So far, my impression of this board is all positive. I visit several other forums (BMWs and Nissan Zs) and the politeness and unity I read on this board is refreshing. Everyone is mature and courteous with just enough drama to keep things interesting.

I look forward to participating more in the future......

Great looking choice, welcome to the board. I'm only a two month old owner. I know what you mean by friendly. I will go to a board if I have to find technical info, but will not post and visit daily if there are attitudes (cough....BMW...cough)

All : Thanks for the warm welcome.

Nick: Not sure how familiar you are with Tampa but I'm in Seminole Heights. I was born at Tampa General so in 41 years I've only wandered about 4 miles away.

Love the triple black but it is not the smartest choice to have here in Florida.

Welcome aboard and you're right about what you say about this forum and your "other" car is one of my favorite...I got it on my goal list to own one of it, a 88' Slant nose Army red with wide body or 97' 993
