Snow? We've got about three feet of it! The Box is pretty good in snow as long as it does'nt bottom out. Dirty - check this out! I drive this car every day...all original and so far has been very reliable.

Precisely what i was thinking.
Our annual visit to MN this winter was essentially snowless, made me sad.
It's always nice to see you photos dj.

We should make a permanet thread where boxster owners can post there own Boxsters DIRTIEST picture with some rules like it can only be your car thats pictured, it has to be the boxster and maybe you have to post a picture of it cleaned off after the dirty snap shot was taken... not just an old stock photo you always hold on to for showing off to the Minivan owners.... those poor bastards

			Djomlas,
That's top down weather. Seriously, I love to drop the top when its real cold, (at least real cold in Texas), and turn the heater up and feel the differential from the heat blowing on my body and the cold air blowing in my face.I spent 4 years 90 miles East of Chicago so I know its a little different up there. We are having a winter storm advisory tonight just south of Dallas. If we get that kind of snow, everything will be shut down tomorrow. Take care,

Mike

I'm cringing as I'm looking at the pics....salt, snow, cold....my Box is under 2 layers of car covers, on 4 jacks, hooked to a battery maintainer, in a quiet peaceful hybernation.

I need to build a "winter Boxster haven" where Boxsters can come, rest, recharge and wait for summer. If I build it, will they come???

Your car is a garage queen! Use it or lose it. LOL. In all the years driving in NY not one german car has rusted on me. Sure at times it is an adventure but for what other reason did I buy the car if not to use it daily.

Apparently you've never owned an early Pcar, before they started using galvanized steel. One of my 912s is so rusty, I could probably give it a good smack and then sweep the whole thing into a dustpan.

I only use the bra in the Winter. Here in CO they often use sand on the roads and the bra offers protection from the "sandblast"effect. So far the bra has not caused any paint damage, but it is the lesser of two evils. BTW I used to live in Geneva, IL. Went to college at NIU. Go Bears!

So is this specific to cars, or is it a general rule that you only buy things that you must use daily? Skis, bicycle, motorcycle, coffeemaker, headphones, hat, scarf, pants, shoes, stereo, etc.?

Woke up again last week to this! Had to clean her off and get it in the garage!

We still have snow hanging round...

I don't mind driving in the snow (have Conti's) but the rest of the morons are rather bothersome!!I wonder about having my car taken out by some goofball in his $50 car with bald tires, no license or insurance!!

It gives 'defensive driving' a whole deeper meaning!

You are unequivocally correct in your assumption! Bravo. My 1974 Audi Fox did rust but after that none did up to 2001 Audi S-4. My 2003 S is my first Porsche which i drive daily and enjoy tremendously.
