986 Roof Issues

Hi All
My 2000 986 S had a new roof installed (rear glass window) before I bought the car. However, I have noticed these gaps and was hoping someone could tell me how to fix them?
I have no elastic to trim or replace and I cannot see any method for adjusting the hard plastic, so any advice would be appreciated. Note, it is on both sides.

Does it have the frame structure from the original with just a GAHH or Robins glass window top or does it have the later top and frame from a 2003 on?

There is an elastic strap on both sides that are supposed to keep the top tucked in. Lots of videos for repairing this. However I just got used to stopping when it's about 5 inches from closing, then reaching up on both sides from the drivers seat to ensure it is tucked in, then close the rest. Takes 2 seconds and keeps the top stress free. If you have a passenger just ask her to lean forward.

That looks like the top wasn't properly affixed to the frame. Maybe they didn't replace the strap that goes from side to side? Or maybe they didn't install that side tensioning cable correctly.
