interior compartment stuck open

Topic: Standard Boxster
Interior compartment behind seats. shoulder high, accessed by two sliding doors, both open from center to outboard.

Problem: port side sliding door is open and stuck, maybe past a detent. It does move a little. I would like to be able to close it and don’t want to force it. Are there any suggestions from any of those who have lived with a standard Boxster longer than I have?
Thanks for any help.

The entire bottom of the rear shelf storage is open. Remove the rear shelf by undoing the top fasteners lift it up and you should have full access to the track.

Might makes right, in this case. I had the exact same problem a few years back.

I removed the assembly, took it apart as much as I could (which wasn’t much), and in the end, just pulled really hard on it, and it broke free.

I could have, and you can, do the same thing with it still in the car.
