Door window won't drop

I have a 2002 Boxster S. The problem I am having is that when I pull the driver side door handle the window doesn't drop. The window goes fully up and down with the window switch so the motor is working. I removed the door handle to test the microswitch and it is working. It's a normally open switch. The switch closes when I pull up on the handle. DVM shows 0.4-0.5ohm at microswitch connector when actuated so switch is working. I checked and there is resistance on mating connector to motor so there is no open from connector to motor. I watched a PCA video where you are supposed to hear slight noise when opening door handle. I hear nothing when I pull handle. Motor is not actuating. I also checked the regulator cable tension. There is no slack where the cable connects to the regulator. According to the wiring diagram the microswitch lead goes to the door motor. It appears as if door motor is not responding to microswitch. Has anyone had this problem? Should I switch out widow motor? any other suggestions? I'm stumped.

Are you getting any locking system faults when you unlock the car? My car did this and I had a double beep on unlock. It was the door latch which I first tried to replace with a VW part. That didn’t work, then I replaced it with a URO latch which worked.

That's odd but the one for the latch is the one that lowers the window. When you operate the switch manually the motor does nothing? Can you change the switch driver/passenger to see if the other switch works?

Found the problem. I misread the wiring diagram. Wires from microswitches go to door lock cylinder assy. If switches are good failure mode is in failed door lock assy. Ordered new one.
