Ouch - sorry for ordeal and steep haircut but kudos making good on all.

As to P-car market... they sure are aggressive which is fine but been saying a long long time always 'feels' someone behind curtain is working closely w a 'bidder' disclosing reserve and then is chasing up other bidders... especially notable when cars ends up in their deal tank at, let's call it, an "aggressive" ask. More often than not 'auctions' seem little too predictable.

Even SML called it out recently on a 986 Boxster which seemed fairly bid to just under $10k all things considered. Ofc ended up as "Reserve Not Met' and was then offered in their DT at $15k. Someone then came thru w $15.5k and bought it. NFW... and even SML tongue in cheek simply called it "very well sold". Suspect same car will show up again VERY soon on BaT w story about how buyer never followed thru, etc.

Caveat emptor...
