First oil change

My first oil change on my new-to-me 2002 Boxster. I cut my oil filter up and stretched it out. Nothing clung to a magnet that I went all over the filter with and there were no sparkly bits I could see when I held it out in the sunlight. 87,000 total miles and so far, so good.

Trying to upload pictures. Lets see if this works. Not working for me. What might I be doing wrong?

The danger though is when you are 78, there is a chance you can fall asleep while sitting there waiting. LOL
