Remove the wire and discard, it's jut for packing. There should be a white plastic ring that goes on the shaft that will sit on the top of the cartridge, not sure if that is what you are referring to on the Bilstein setup. For the bump stops, I installed them from the top, it seemed pretty obvious to me how to do it. A little silicone grease will help get it seated, just make sure it's in the first groove on the bump stop. I forget the torque specs off hand, I always just google them when I need them. The top nut on the strut is difficult to measure because you need to keep the shaft from turning which on the KONI's is done with an Allen wrench. I think the first time I tried using the torque wrench on the Allen key it broke the key.
