Driver Side Window Issue

A few days ago, my driver's side window started making this horrible noise when going up/down. Does anyone know if this is a motor issue or a regulator issue? I greased the rails and sprayed lube on everything that I could reach. None of that helped at all.

Video of the noise.

Thanks

Looks like it's the regulator.

I think it's the regulator.

I have the same on a 2000 Boxster, luckily for me with the passenger window. I was informed to replace the linkage would be about a thousand dollars so I live with it. It doesn't go down when the door is opened but doesn't seem to hurt anything. I didn't check into it but was advised aftermarket linkage is available.

Yep, I bought a aftermarket regulator/linkage for $150ish? (it's been a while) and replaced it myself. It wasn't too difficult and it's been working fine.
