Considering the better reliability of the Turbo/GT3 engines (stemming from the robust 993 engines) I would definitely pick the 996 TT over the supercharged 997. There's no way the SC 997 is still under Porsche warranty.

the GT1 block on the GT3 and Turbo's is the 964 Race Block--True dry sump, everything stays lubricated under all loads long. and lateral.
They do a much better job at hard driving than the 997 and 996 Carreras which
are not true dry sump.
Takes a load of worry off when autox'ing and tracking.
