Lightbulb Secondary air injection sensor help

Hello all! i have a 2000 Boxter S 986.

Recently it spung a MIL light.

the code is p0410. this code is for the secondary air injection system, it is under performing.

the secondary air injection system is for emissions, used to heat up the catalytic converter more quickly.

it is not due to a vacuum leak (smoke test), but i was talking to my electrical teacher at my trade school and he suggested the following:

find the intended resistance for a working air injection sensor -> find a resistor of that resistance -> sauter that resistor on -> clear codes -> verify.

my question is: "what resistance is this sensor supposed to be"?

any help is appreciated, and if this will not work, I would like to know that as well.
