How 'bout these?
http://www.wheelenhancement.com/index.php?t=WheelDetail&id=43 They are available in 18" so you can have the look of the Carrera Classic but stay with 18" wheels. |
I think that 19's are the only way to go unless its for autoX. Then youd want a 17 or optimaly an 18 inch wheel. I love my 19's, but the design of the wheel dictates a lot. An 18 with spokes outside of the edge of the rim look bigger than my 19's with my big lip. I say get the 19's. I havent lowered my car, and dont plan on it unless there is some crazy sale where new springs cost like $200. I come from a lowered Z3 and it was not worth it. It looked awesome, but I broke my underglows 4 times, broke my front bumper, cracked the front bumper after that, and chipped paint off the lip. I got all that fixed the week before I sold it, lol. You will kick yourself if you dont get the 19's, in the words of starsky..."Do it"

PerfectLap, Randall and a couple of others have the 18" Carrera Lights and they're awesome. Possibly the best looking Porsche wheel ever. |
I love those Carrera wheels, they look fantastic. Unfortunately my better half would not allow me to purchase them at this time due to the fact that I have spent quite a bit on the car since buying last November.
I would go with 18" myself because I think the 19" would be too harsh and with the tires that low in profile, I would forever be having them straightened after hitting some pothole or curb edge. :) |

bringer, I'm in the same boat....I dropped a lot on my car new so changing rims is a delicate subject with the woman, by delicate I mean  the one thing I noticed is that you can get factory carerra's with rubbers on ebay for right around 2200-2500 and they are 19's.....I am usually to nervous to trust it and hate myself in the end..... |
