Numeric short shifter

One of my shifter cables snapped the other. I opted to get the numeric cables and short shifter bundle.

For those that got the same one, has anyone ever left the shifter exposed? It looks very cool with great build quality. Link below for reference.

Thank goodness I love this car. Because it’s driving me crazy…

I have removed my center console completely and have an exposed lifted short shift kit. I very much like the look of it but it has a very gritty simplicity to it. If you're doing other similar mods then it may be for you (I also deleted the radio and ac control for the same reason). There should be a pic of it on my build thread - "project renegade" on show and tell.
I would not just remove the boot though, IMO it just looks unfinished. And I wouldn't do this and leave the rest of the (upper) console intact. Again, I think it will look unfinished in an otherwise we'll finished vehicle.

When the owners manual says that the laws of physics can't be broken by this car, I took it as a challenge...
