VS locations

Throughout the wiring diagrams for our cars, there are numerous references to voltage supply points. These are labeled VS followed by a number. My question though is where are these points physically located? They don't seem to trace back to a specific fuse and I can't find a location reference in any of the diagrams like there are for welding points and ground points.

Btw, I'd love to start a thread discussing the finer points of the wiring diagrams for the 986 if anyone else is game. I've learned a ton from these diagrams but there is always more to learn
