Issues with new radio

I can’t get the new head unit to power up. I have 12v from the harness and the ground is good. I swapped the red and yellow wires per CAI’s info. Tried not swapping as well.

Just at a loss. Never had a basic power issue with a radio install before as it is usually pretty straight forward.

Do you have anyway of testing the radio? Is there an internal fuse for the radio?

Yeah. Checked the fuse. Not sure I have everything needed to bench test it.

Me? I'd connect it direct to a battery... with a fuse in-line. See if it at least fires up. No worky? Wonky radio.

Just tested going straight from stereo to battery with nothing. Sucks as they don’t make it anymore. Really wanted a HU with a volume knob. Already have another Sony on the way. This will let me use the same harness and test to ensure it’s the radio and not me lol!

Double din or single? I have a double din song with volume buttons that are actually buttons, I refuse to use the touch button ones

Double. And yeah, not doing the "fake" button ones.

Quick update. Turns out someone before me modified the Porsche harness. Yay. The 12v constant wasn’t providing any voltage. Switched 12v was fine. But, it was tied to new wiring that I haven’t traced down yet. What a mess.

Pretty much have it worked out but have destroyed 2 Metra harnesses moving wires around lol!
