How much clearance to drop transmission?

HI I am planning a lot of maintenance to my 98 this summer and was thinking about dropping the transmission.

How much clearance do I need to get it out?

My RaceRamps give me 12" and there is 6" under the car for a total of 18". Is this enough room to get the transmission out or do I need a lift?

Look for Burners videos on youtube. Believe 17" would be absolute minimum depending on how you get it out and slide it out.

Thank you for the tip.

He removes the transmission in this video:

It looks like he is using jack stands so the RaceRamps should give me a lot more clearance.
