7000slx will work. It's just longer then the 5000slx so it can do more weight. It wont fit in between the wheels of a Miata but a 986 it will fit. Height is the same.

I picked up a 7000 (I have an SUV to lift too) and it's amazing! I did the 'wheel hack' so I can move it around easier (it's a pig) and just store it underneath the car. The oil change was a breeze and it's going to be easier for seasonal tire changes.

Ju just bought the 5k Quickjack on sale at Costco (still on sale) and the Quickjack wall hangers were pretty inexpensive at Home Depot.
I haven't used mine yet, going to bleed the system today. But they are heavy but not too heavy to roll along to the wall and lift them for a few seconds to hang out of the way.
Can't wait to use them.

Most importantly, how easy is it to store away when not using? I have a two car garage but not a lot of room with all the workbenches and whatnot so not a lot of room to store things like that. I do have a shed that sits beside the garage so how much of a pain is it to wheel the whole assembly to and from the shed? As I get older, the whole jack and jack stand thing gets harder and harder.

My dream is to build a bigger garage out back and put in an actual lift but that will have to wait a while. The Quickjack looks like a great thing for lifting the car off the ground for oil changes, brake jobs, and even detailing.

I'm interested in hearing opinions.

Yes, this is the one I used:

don't get too big a wheel (I picked up the size he used) or it will affect your ability to get the jack under the car, with the blocks in it.

That settles it, I need to buy one! Costco has a good price on them, although I'm told that Costco oftentimes has them on sale...but I don't know if I can wait.
