See if you can get someone to send you a picture of the option sticker under the front hood. It'll look very similar to this below.

This sticker will give you the best shot at finding out how your car came from the factory. It will tell you paint code and interior color code.

The bottom numbers or letter/number codes are your option codes. For the aerokit you'll see a code that begins with XAA.

You can translate MOST of the codes here: Porsche Option Codes List

Some of the codes you find won't make sense (it may have been used on a much earlier Porsche and then recycled for the Boxster) or you won't find it at all.

You may see a handwritten 4 digit code - that will most likely be the radio code.

If you have questions, come back here - someone will know the answer.

Also - know that some aerokits were installed by the dealer so you won't find the code on the option sheet.

A lot of the VIN decoders don't show the early Boxsters.

Yes - model year 2000 and newer base model cars have the 2.7L engine.

Try this. . . .

https://www.dealer-site.com/admin/build_sheets/print.php?vin=XXXXXXXXXXX

insert your VIN number for the XXX's

It worked for mine but I know it hasn't worked for others..

Hmm tried that, replacing the X's with my vin, and it says "This vehicle is not available" I tried backing up, but it was a login, which I assume is why its not giving me anything. Hopefully I will have a picture of the sticker soon, and can use the reference code list to fill out the option list.
