Replacement key

Any source for reasonably priced replacement keys? Dealer wants $450 plus $80 to program it. I have an 03 base Boxster.

You can send them a picture of your key and they will cut it to match. No getting out of the programming fees. Verify your dealer will work with a non OEM key/transponder prior to ordering. They might up their programming fee accordingly. I have used this vendor.

I got a new key that opens the door and starts the engine for $150 from a local key replacement center. No remote control, but they clone the pill so I can drive the car if I lose the original. Had to phone around to find a place that did Porsches.

You can buy the fobs online. Look at gaudin Porsche in Las Vegas. They do online and generally have good discounts.

For the key you can get it copied at a lock smith that does laser cut keys or where rex mentioned

$80 for programming at a dealer is reasonable
