Clock Spring 99 Box

I broke one of the 2 plastic tabs that protrude out of the front side(side facing driver) of the steering wheel clock spring. I crazy glued it back on....what is the function of this frail little tab. Is it the blinker reset? V

As far as I’m aware they’re assists with showing how far the wheel is seated on the column. I’m probably wrong, though.

Yeah couldn't figure how they canceled the blinker....any ideas where I can tap for the glovebox light. Id rather find a switched source. Theres an unused connecter with power buried in the center console.v
