Alarm keeps going off while parked??

When parked and locked my car's (986) alarm will randomly go off, sometimes within an hour, sometimes hours later or the next morning.

I have been scratching my head with this for some time. When I lock the car it acts normally- gives two beeps a second or so later.
I have gone through and made sure both doors, trunks and the center console are closed and it still happens.

I'd rather not just unplug the alarm horn, any ideas how I could trace the issue? My durametric doesn't seem to show what sensor is tripping this.:ah:

Does it get cold in your area? Mine does that in the winter. I think cold contraction causes microswitches to de-couple, causing the car to alarm.

No, not at all. I'm in California, the state is on fire right now haha

I had that same problem when I bought my car three years ago. My car resides under a carport for three. I own the middle spot... the two on each side owning them because they own two units (condos).

My alarm was going off under the same conditions: Sometimes later... sometimes very early morning. I suspected my neighbors... installed a fake camera... that seemed to solve my alarm issues.

haha thats a funny story, but I dont think thats my issue.
This happens no matter where I park. For example: in front of a shop for 15 minutes, or in my private garage.

I doubt anyone is getting to it in there...

My car was doing this exact same thing earlier this year, I found that my alarm horn had a short in it, replacing the horn made the issue go away.

But also, pull the drivers seat and check the condition of the connectors for the alarm module, sometimes the wiring can get wet, corroded, or even damaged.
