Rear mudguards?
A pal of mine who also owns a 986 is looking for rear mudguards. The "universal" ones will do the job, but look awful. Does anyone know of custom ones made for Boxsters? These are Miata ones pictured. Thanks!

you can go stock with part numbers:
9865043930001C
9865043940001C
they are about 60 bucks each side and the extra rubber is another 20 buck each side.
annoying as I had one destroyed while a watched a young helper put my car up on a lift.

Thanks, Tony, but these are the ones that go in the front of the fenderwell. I am looking for something that goes in the rear.

How about this Yosemite Sam mud flaps that say “back off?” That’s a rad mod!

I'm curious why would you need/want mud flaps on a Boxster? Lots of gravel roads?
I have never seen a 986 specific solution, I would probably remove the wheel well liner and bolt directly into that so that they hung inside the wheel well without touching/damaging the outward facing paint. +1 for stripper girl mud flaps.

I dunno, either, Rick. I really am asking for a friend, I'm not making it up!
I told him that if he really wants mudguards, he should buy the Miata ones pictured to see if he can make them fit. I've never seen them for the 986, either. I don't think they exist.

It was the only thread that had some gravel reference...
Old, but let's reopen it.
Since the rear "end wheel" splash/mud guards do not exist, does anyone have good suggestion (aka existing solution) for protecting paint from gravel?
Say if one wanted to take the car for some less asphalt covered roads... slide it here and there.
