I'm curious why would you need/want mud flaps on a Boxster? Lots of gravel roads?
I have never seen a 986 specific solution, I would probably remove the wheel well liner and bolt directly into that so that they hung inside the wheel well without touching/damaging the outward facing paint. +1 for stripper girl mud flaps.

I dunno, either, Rick. I really am asking for a friend, I'm not making it up!

I told him that if he really wants mudguards, he should buy the Miata ones pictured to see if he can make them fit. I've never seen them for the 986, either. I don't think they exist.
