Unknown harness near interior light

I have finally replaced the cracked bronze bushings that hold the sun visors in with rivnuts and am putting everything back together. Unfortunately there is a "something" connected to the harness that I don't remember disconnecting. If you look at the bottom of the photo you can see the brown connector that goes to the overhead light, and at the top of the photo, the smaller black connector for the convertible top latch. I have reconnected both of those. If you look to the right, there is a little section of harness that ends with what looks like a small metal blade held by a metal clip.

Does anyone know what this is and where the metal clip mounts? It looks as though it might clip into the hole in the windshield frame nearby.

On the other hand, if I broke something and don't remember, does anyone know what it is and ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks in advance
