FVD Brombacher SSK

Greetings all! I was on the FVD Brombacher site looking at exhaust stuff and noticed a short throw shift kit that they offer (German make) that reduces the throw by 25% rather than the 35% or more of some other kits. The idea being a compromise, with a shorter throw but less effort required than the ones with greater reduction. No mods necessary to install.

Was wondering if anyone has used it, and, if so, what's the verdict. It's not exactly cheap ($245). Nothing turned up on a Search, so maybe no one has tried it. I kind of like the idea after reading some of the posts on other makes with the higher reduction.

I've not tried the FVD but if you want a shorter tighter there but not as much as most aftermarket kits then get an OE shortshift or try the 987 one. The 986 OE shortshift is similar in throw to the regular 987.

I spent $150 to upgrade to the 997 shifter. This also includes the $70 for Phenix Engineering bushings. Major improvement in shift throw and slop reduction.
