Boxster S 2004 Radio Ugrade - Help

Im sure this is an 'old chestnut' and as a new member I apologise if the answer is here but I cant find it!
I have a 2004 3.2 Boxster S with BOSE optical amp which I want to keep.

I am fitting a double din Pioneer unit, I have followed the threads on the mechanical parts of the installation, new cage, moved the air con controls and bought a connects2 bose interface,DAB antenna etc. The Pioneer comes to life but I cant get the Bose amp to turn on. I guess there is a signal, canbus perhaps?
I have multimeter etc and any help or advice very much appreciated. (wiring diagrams, links etc)
Thanks
John

Does the connection interface hook into the MOST cable?
