TireRack hitting it out of the park

I bent a wheel on my daily and after looking online the wheel was no longer available. Its a Alleggerita HLT, car and wheels shown below, which is common but the rear was 12" wide which OZ only made for a limited time for GT3s that wanted to run a specific Hoosier. Tirerack found a warehouse that had one and shipped it to me but it was the wrong color, we weren't sure what color I had. They picked it back up for free and worked with OZ Racing to custom make me one wheel even though they are no longer in production. They have been calling me almost daily with updates, I can't believe the customer service! Sorry for the non-986 content but I felt like I should give them a shout out.

That is awesome customer service and thanks for sharing your experience. It's always good to pass along the positive stories - so many time we only hear the negative.

I love your picture! It tells such a story.

As for Tire Rack, loved them when I lived in Reno. They are local there and you can pick up at the warehouse. Nothing on TR, but last set I bought for my Boxster were Rikken (great low cost tires made by Michelin in Indonesia) which I had shipped to my local Pep Boys for mounting. Pep Boys treated my wheels like they were old boat anchors, scratched all 4. I would never take a car there again. TR put some pressure on them, and they ended up paying to have all 4 refinished. A testimonial for Tire Rack, but certainly not Pep Boys.

I do most of my tire biz with Discount Tire, who are local and wonderful!

Tire rack even ships to APO boxes for us overseas military and contractors.

I bought Toyo RA1s from them in Tucson, also, W. Ina Rd. They price matched and did a great job. Tire Rack is awesome, though.

I buy 10+ sets of tires a year from Tire Rack. I have a personal buyer. It's like concierge tire buying. They really do know how to treat customers right. :)
