Key fob not working

My car sat 5 years in garage. I had to replace the battery. Car starts and drives but my key fob has a new battery but does not open doors, or trunks. How do I reinitialize key fob.

I repeated this procedure 3 times and when I press the remote button, the red light on remote comes on but nothing happens in the car.

Time for a trip to the dealer, most likely.

Try "flipping" the battery as that might do the trick since you mentioned to LED comes on. This resets the processor in the key.

2. Restarting the processor.
2.1 Remove battery as described under Step 1.2. (Normal removal of battery)
2.2 Inserting battery briefly with polarity reversed.
2.2.1 After a waiting time of at least 10 seconds, slide battery with the polarity of the battery reversed (positive terminal downwards) under the tab (Figure 1, arrow 2).
2.2.2 Clip battery downward into the holder.
2.2.3 After a waiting time of approx. 3 seconds, remove this incorrectly polarized battery again.
2.3 Install battery as described under Step 1.3. (Normal battery installation)
2.4 Check the function of the remote control.

Cliff Notes version: Pull the battery and wait 10 seconds. Install it reversed for 3 seconds, remove it. Reinstall battery correctly and try it.

Thanks for this TSB! With it's help I was able to get both key remotes to show the LED.
Anyhow, as trying to do the 'Load Switch off' procedure below, the key remotes do not connec to the car...
Could there be anything else I could try to do to fix the key remotes, besides visit at the dealer?
