It is probably some guy who thought he could put some yellow vinal and an old wing on a car and sell it for more than he paid for it. Overall, it looks like crap, our cars werent designed for racing stripes, if they were, theyd come from the factory (old chevelles and mustangs). And whats up with that lame checkerboard thing?

Alright all you aerodynamicists (sp?)...everytime I see a wing like that bolted to the trunk...if it producted any appreciable downforce...wouldn't it just push the trunk in? Aren't spoilers and wings (or whatever they are called) connected to the frame?

Real wings are connected to at least the fenders or on a part of the trunk that is overlapping the body (http://www.carnuttv.com/images/roadtest_images/2003_mitsu_evolution_rear_1.jpg) see how its at the very edge of the trunk. I have seen old stock cars (the super bird) and the wing was so high because it had to clear the trunk and it was welded to the frame because it put like 1000 pounds of pressure down. Our cars only do 300 pounds. And most "designer" wings are made neutral because the fiberglass ones would crack with any pressure on them, only the metal or carbon fiber ones put force down, and most of those ricers dont care that they are taking force off their front wheels... which move the car, lol.

Our little spoiler puts down 300 pounds? That seems a little high, however that seems to be the number I keep reading on other forums. What speed do you need to be at for the 300lbs?
