That's just terrible- I feel your pain- this was my last car in the UK before I moved to California. She was beautifil... I came out of my house one morning to find foot-steps all over the car. (I normally kept her covered but it was a park summer night so there was no need) The bonnet (hood) was caved in as was the boot (trunk) ...nearly $3k in damages...thank god for insurance. This picture was after the repair.
I just hoped when the little sod that did it gets himself a nice car the same happens back and then he can start to understand how Karma works! Let's hope the same happens to the chap that did yours. Cold comfort I know...but comfort none-the-less...

A key job of that magnitude is like a grizzly murder, usually someone has an issue with you. I wouldn't be surprised if it was keyed by someone you know..

So sorry to hear...
....this misfortune is a crime and I can only hope that justice will be served...
...fortunately, I've never had any significant damage from vandalism...I live in a new development and had to chase some kids (13/14 year olds) away from an excavator they were trashing with stones and tools that the workmen had left out...I woke up early one Sunday morning last fall and two boys were trashing the equipment while their "girlfriends" looked on...I was in my pjs, and slippers and started after the little boogers loosing one slipper in the process...they took off across the field...i hoped back in the garage and called 911 before slipping on some tennis shoes, a helmet, and pulling out the 450 KTM to go a chasing after them...unfortunately, they were long gone...never did find them...but did follow the tracks to one of the other neighborhoods...met the police when i got back and told them what i could...the unfortunate thing is that the piece of equipment was sitting across the road so that my contractor could finish my yard…unfortunately, during the replacement and / or repair period, the weather up here turned and I didn’t get the yard until the following spring…just know that we all feel your pain...
also, i had a 1980 fiat spyder 2000 when i was in college...my girlfriend and i went to the movies summer after freshman year we just rolled up the windows and left the top down like we had done countless other times...unfortunately, this time someone poured a red slushy all over the drivers seat...i'll never know why...just totally random stranger coming out of the movie house i'm sure...the fiat just must have look like an easy and appealing target...
...again, perhaps you laugh at my misfortunes...or the thought of a then 34 yo man riding across a construction site with tennis shoes and an ISDE helmet and PJ's on a foggy Sunday morning...at any rate...it's repairable...just a big PITA in the mean time...
...good luck on searching out a shop...I think Randell's advise is sound and good...
Cheers,
--troy

THis little feline won't MEOW. No sir. It will answer with a roar.
NO RED CLIP NEEDED. The only clip you'll need from now on is a 30 round clip.

Now remember, Rail, we must watch our tongues when talking about pussy. Oh crap!! you know what I mean. Just as the the other thread got heated about using the word gay.
Now this is a mean, calculating pussy. Or better said, this is what happens when pussy gets under the gun.
(Oh dear. . . this site brings out the worst in me

Jeff, your picture collection of felines with firearms is impressive !
Glad you don't collect photos of unarmed cats...cuz that would be pretty gay.

"This kitty was disarmed just outside a school."
Ah..black humor. Glad you cleared that up, as with the turban I assumed that the cat was Al Qaeda.

It is all about profiling. Pussy with a turban is very suspect.

Note that had not turban kitty been disarmed, sniper kitty would've performed the following:
