And here i was getting all mentally prepared to install my new starter. Now I have to get mentally prepared to crack open the doors. I have replaced the door lock actuators in my Lexus....it was a similar looking mechanism with a worm gear and such. I have no problem repairing a solder joint if I can just figure out where those goods are in the door. I work best off of videos........or slide show tutorials. I will scan youtube tonight to see if I can find one about taking the door apart and working on the switch thingamabobber. I am certain there are mechanical drawings available in a parts catalog but I simply dont do well deciphering those buggers.

Thanks for taking the time to help me narrow this issue down. Not to say I am out of the woods....but making baby steps in the right direction.

Battery back in.....took her for a spin around the neighborhood before her next procedure.
