Measure the thickness of the rotors. If they are under the wear limits 22mm front/18mm rear or 26/22 for S's, why not change them?

but if they aren't under...why change them, right? there isnt even a ridge between the wear surface and the rest of the disk. this is an S.

Always a good idea. If close to or at minimum change them.
