i don't think there is. save for getting a new key programmed.
whats sort of flashing do you get when you press the buttons down for a few seconds... fast or slow? fast apparently it can be repaired... slow means it is completely hosed and you'd need a new key to replace.

but yeah you have a short amount of time to get into the car else the alarm goes off. a small price to pay.

the way around for you could be to not lock your car doors not sure how much car crime there is in singapore.
